How to set up motion recording using cameras' motion detection (Mainconsole)?

Purpose

Once the recording on "edge motion" is set up, we can achieve the following benefits:

  1. saving disk usage space.
  2. maintain moderate server CPU loading, as image analysis process is done by the cameras.

Procedures

Before start, please make sure the IP camera is supported by NUUO NVR, and the on-edge motion is also supported. Please go to NUUO camera support list and find the camera (see below image for an example).

We must do the following:

  • Set up motion detection in a camera.
  • Make sure edge motion detection can be received by Mainconsole.
  • Use the motion detection as an event to trigger the recording.
