How to configure the recording server to view Remote Live Viewer, Remote Playback and iViewer through the internet?

Symptom

When using iViewer application in a moblie phone (iPhone or Android phones) to connect with any NVR Recording Server (Mainconsole, NVRmini2, Titan NVR) and an error message "Cannot connect to server" pops up.



Cause 

  1. Wrong server IP address.  
  2. Wrong account information: <username/password>.
  3. Port forwarding not configured. 
 

Solution 

  1. Verify your server IP sddress and your username/password.
  2. Setting Port Forwarding.
    Default Web Port 80
    Default Live View Port 5160 (NVRmini2)
    Default Playback Port 5160 (NVRmini2)
    Titan Live View and Playback Port 5250

For Mainconsole

Turn on Live Streaming and Remote Playback as follow:

a. [General Setting]->[Network Service]->[Live Streaming]

     

b. [General Setting]->[Network Service]->[Remote Playback]


For NVRmini2 Port Forwarding

a. Go to [Network Setup]->[Network Service]->[Web Service]->[Web Server / Management Port: 80]

b. Go to [Network Setup]->[Network Service]->[Live View & Playback Service]->[Live Streaming Server / Port: 5150] and [Playback Server / Port: 5160]


For Titan NVR Port Forwarding

a. Go to [Network Setup]->[Network Service]->[Web Service / Web Server / Management Port: 80]

b. Go to [Network Setup]->[Network Service]->[Streaming Server / Port: 5250]

To make sure and confirm that all ports are opened properly, follow the below method:

1. Run the <Command Prompt> and type the command: "telnet <IP Address Port>", and click enter:



2. If the <Command Prompt> shows a black screen as the below picture, it means that this port is opened properly.



3. If not, kindly check again your network settings.
