[Mainconsole] Only 2TB of Disk Capacity can be recognized by Windows

Symptom

When using larger disks, eg. 3TB, 4TB, 6TB, it cannot be recognized but only 2TB disk.

當使用較大的硬碟時, 例如3TB, 4TB, 6TB, 它無法被正常辨識, 而顯示為2TB 硬碟。

Root Cause

1. Windows XP and previous versions do not support GPT partition style.
2. Windows Vista and newer versions have not configured to be used with GPT partition style.
3. The motherboard does not support UEFI.

Solution

1. Use Windows Vista or newer versions.
2. Be sure to create disk(s) using GPT partition style. Else, delete and re-create the partition using GPT (all current data will be wiped out). MBR can address around 2TB size only, but GPT can address around 18EB
3. Be sure that the PC's motherboard support UEFI.
